Clarify the Journey
If you have other concerns or want to probe deeper, let's explore them openly on our initial discovery call.
Coaching is a forward-focused conversation that helps you think more clearly, act more intentionally, and grow into who you're made to be. It's not mentoring — I'm not primarily telling you what to do based on my experience. And it's not counseling — we're not primarily processing the past. That said, good coaching does sometimes touch on history, character, and the deeper stuff underneath your leadership. I've done my own work in all of these areas, and I know the difference between what coaching can hold and when something else is needed.
Not at all. My background is in missions and nonprofit leadership, so that's the world I know best and the clients I serve most naturally. But if you're a Jesus follower leading in any faith-based organization — a church, a Christian school, a social enterprise, an NGO — and you want your faith and your leadership to actually fit together, we're probably a good fit. The discovery call is the best way to find out.
Honestly, the leaders who get the most out of coaching aren't the ones who have everything figured out — they're the ones who are willing to be honest about what isn't working and curious enough to explore why. If you're carrying something you can't quite name, feeling the gap between the leader you are and the leader you want to be, or just sensing that something needs to change — that's enough to start. We'll figure out the rest together.
If you're not sure, start with a single session or the discovery call. If you already know you want sustained growth over time, the 8-session series or monthly retainer will give you the depth you're looking for. Real change rarely happens in one conversation — it happens in the space between sessions, when you're back in your actual life trying to lead differently. The longer formats are designed to support that.
We meet on Zoom for 60 minutes. You set the agenda — we start with what's most alive for you right now. I ask questions, listen carefully, and help you think more clearly about what's really going on. Sessions aren't lectures or advice-giving. They're focused, unhurried conversations that move something forward. Most clients leave with a clearer sense of what they're carrying and what they want to do about it.
It means we don't just work on your to-do list. A lot of what holds leaders back isn't a skills gap — it's patterns rooted in how they were formed: family of origin, old wounds, unhealthy attachments, ways of coping that worked once and don't anymore. I've done that work myself, and I know how much it changes the way you lead. We go at your pace. Nothing is forced. But if you want to become a more emotionally present, relationally healthy, spiritually grounded leader, that's the territory we'll eventually need to visit.
I'm currently completing my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coach Federation — I'm 75 hours into the required 100. The ICF is the gold standard for professional coaching credentials. Beyond the credential, I bring 25+ years of real-world nonprofit and mission leadership, a decade of living and leading cross-culturally in India, and my own deep experience with coaching, counseling, and the kind of personal transformation I help others pursue.
Yes — and many do. If your organization has a professional development budget, coaching is a legitimate and often encouraged use of those funds. I can provide an invoice for any engagement. If budget is genuinely a barrier, mention it on the discovery call and we'll see what's possible.
I totally get it — investing in yourself can feel out of reach, especially when money is tight. If cost is a barrier, reach out and let's talk. I handle affordability on a case-by-case basis, and I'm always willing to have an honest conversation about what might be possible. The worst that can happen is we figure out it's not the right time — and that's okay too.
